Crypto Investigator ZachXBT Calls for Crackdown on AI-Driven Engagement Farming
Crypto investigator ZachXBT has intensified scrutiny on social media platforms, urging them to address the proliferation of inorganic AI projects and engagement farming tied to information finance (InfoFi) initiatives. The blockchain sleuth highlighted how certain accounts exploit monetized creator programs by incentivizing spam and artificial discussions.
ZachXBT's latest investigative thread exposed connections between a suspect and the $28 million Bittensor hack in 2024, revealing alleged anime NFT wash trades linked to a former employee. His findings reportedly secured a whitehat bounty. "What I publish is just the portion I can make public," he noted, reserving sensitive details for law enforcement.
The investigator singled out an InfoFi account promoting AI-driven token campaigns like Quack, underscoring the need for platforms to curb such "AI slop." Screenshots of Wallchain trending on X further illustrated the issue. "Social media platforms really need to crack down on all of these inorganic AI slop/spam campaigns," ZachXBT asserted.
